New FPS from creators of L4D set to wow gamers?!

 

If this wasn't coming from the guys that did L4D I wouldn't be this interested:

"It's incredible," THQ core games boss Danny Bilson told Eurogamer at E3 this week. "It's an incredible design. I can't wait till we share the concepts of that game, because there is some gameplay in there I've never played before.

"Those guys are really smart. They were the Left 4 Dead team and that was fun. This one's wild. I can't wait to share that one. People are going to go nuts. It's the most well-thought out design from the beginning I've ever seen.

"Everybody, when they hear that design, unanimously they just go, wow. I promise you'll do the same when you hear what that game is."

So what do you guys think? Is it still possible to wow gamers with an FPS ? At least it's a new franchise I guess that counts for something

As long as it aint another bloody cod clone there`s to many companies doing that now.. , Every other  game is a cod clone <:

But i liked l4d on the pc ( still play it) but not on xbox yet but plan on grabing them both,,

If anyone still has the capacity to wow people with a FPS, it's Valve. Everyone knows the ones they've created so far have have amazing and unique. Thanks for that OP. Got me excited.

I never wow with LFD games . Are good only for a while. Lets see what they have in mind .

Wow, put out frickin Half Life 3 already. It would be one thing if they didn't end the last game on a cliff hanger, but their refusal to finish what they started makes them a seriously bad developer as far as I am concerned.

They are notorious for taking their sweet time between games. Just look at the years between each series. The only exception is the LFD games. Just because it's not out yet or officially in development, doesn't mean it's not on their back burner so to speak. At least they're not pumpimg out clones every year. Maybe they'll wait until the next systems are out. Maybe it's in secret development now and people who talk about it meet a quick, painful death. Who knows. When it does come out, I'm sure it will rock.

Valve isn't developing the game. Just some developers owned by Valve.

Cool, I would enjoy a new shooter franchise. I too am getting tired of CoD clones. I mean, I have no problem with Call of Duty, but If I wanted to play CoD, I would play CoD. Not some ripoff of it - I'm looking at you Call of Crysis 2.

It is not being created by Valve. It is being created by a team called Turtle Rock Studios who were hired by Valve for Left 4 Dead, but are no longer part of them. THQ is now their publisher. So Valve have nothing to do with this project. #readthearticle
