It looks like you don’t have any applicable device(s) linked to your Microsoft account.

After buying a game through Microsoft.com it asks me where I want to install. But it says no applicable devices. After a few seconds the xbox started to download the game on its own so at least they're talking to each other .

However in my devices overview my xbox shows just fine. What's going on?

EDIT After I bought a new xbox one x and sold the console with this problem I no longer get this error message . So not sure if it was unique to my older device .

Hi, not sure if this will help any

On another note, you may want to take a little extra care when posting screen shots :) left tab on the screen grab is hmm yea well I guess you like redheads. Don't worry though, your secret is perfectly safe with me and the rest of the internet :/

Sorry to hear it.  If the purchase did push to your console then the issue was more than likely a glitch.  Sometimes I try to make a purchase on the website and my payment method does not show so I have to do it on the console.  The, later, the payment method shows up again.

Hello,

I had a similar problem. Fortunately there are 3 options for making and managing purchases: the xbox store, the website, and the windows store app. Whenever one of these fails, the other resolves.

Hope this helps.

I have the same problem too as of 01/19/2019.  My Devices show up just fine upon the link that I clicked provided above: (https://support.microsoft.com/help/4098900/microsoft-store-trouble-pushing-install-to-a-different-device)

It could be that my XBox One was not turned on when I made the purchase from my PC?  I dunno.

Would be nice if Microsoft got on the ball and fixed that issue.  But that is one out of a bazillion problems they have. (sigh)
