Halo 4 Game of the Year Edition

I heard there would be a game of the year edition of halo in October, but only place i can find the game is here:

The US MS store, now, i live in Sweden using a European Xbox 360, is it possible for me to buy the GOTY Halo 4 of that homepage, have it sent over here and i would be able to play it? or would it not work on my console?


If it won't work or i can't buy of the american homepage etc, or the codes for dlc, if any, included wont work on EU xbox live, then when is it released over here? will it be released over here?


would love some answers as i can't find anything anywhere tbh.

Hi there - the game will be carried by other retailers, but you'll just need to hold out a little bit before they update their sites when they have sufficient information.

I have seen it in a few US based stores online, but there is no info about EU at all, and that is what i need to know tbh. also, if i buy it from US, will the codes work on EU live? for the DLC stuff that is. anyone know?

so i could buy the GOTY edition from say gamestop, or some other store that ship US to EU, then it would work with DLC codes etc over here? thats kind of neat, always thought they where locked to regions like the PS3 codes.

Sorry, I should clarify - I've looked into it a bit further, as you got me thinking on my aforementioned presumption... and it's actually a bit more complicated. Whilst a lot of DLC codes are not region locked, there is also a good amount that are. You cannot be guaranteed that the codes will work, as there are numerous factors that come in to play when it comes to deciding whether or not to lock DLC codes. To be on the safe side, you should assume that they won't work, contrary to what I stated earlier. My apologies.

You could always contact 343 and query this, but whether or not you get a response I couldn't say.

I will try at, thx for the tips and taking your time to awnser, i am not to into how xbox stuff work as i mostly bin PC and PS guy. thx for the help!
