Cant add points to my account from Paypal.

I am trying to purchase 1000 MS points on the Xbox.com website to my xbox live account using my paypal account which has a positive balance. The Paypal account has been linked for 6 days and MS is an autorised payee.

When I confirm on the Xbox live website that I wish to purchase 1000 points and select paypal as my method it, i just get the following message.

This action cannot be performed at this time. Please try again later. For more information, go to http://www.xbox.com/support.

Have you tried purchasing on the console? What is the full error message/code you get there?

Yesterday I treid to purchase 500 points on the console for a charge of €6 and it would not go through when paypal was selected as my payment method.

I got the following odd error.

"This Item cannot be purchased witha credit card. You cna buy it with microsoft points or try again later"

I did try a couple of times, but it does not make sense that it would want me to buy Ms points with Ms points.!

Gary: Couple of quick things here. First, remove and re-add your Paypal account and try again. Also, have you tried purchasing with any other payment method, and do you get the same results if you do? Do you get these issues when trying to purchase any amount of points, of just the 500 ones?

I get the same error, i am able to add points but i am unable to upgrade from silver to gold

it happened to me also when i tried to upgrade from silver to gold and i tried on both xbox and on computer
