I just purchased a wireless network adapter and when I put the cd into my xbox it says its a "mixed media" cd and there are no options other then ejecting it back out. Is the cd bad or do I need some sort of update to my xbox or what? Thanks for any info anyone can give me.

Only official Microsoft wireless network adapters work with the 360. Install disks will not work on 360 as they are for windows and not the 360.

The 360 adapter does come with an install disc. There was an update in the past, that some consoles don't have, that made the xbox compatible with USB devices, this is required for the adapter to work, if it's saying mixed media and the adapter is official 360 then that update is already installed.

Inset the disc into your console. Shut down your console. Wait 30 seconds. Boot up your console. It should boot from disc

Once this is complete just attach your wireless adapter and you should be good to go!
