Where is my xbox live tenure?

This part of the forum, I believed most related to my issue.

So I should have a 4 year tenure on my profile, it currently says 1. Back around the start of 2013 it said 3, which was correct for then, but now it should be 4, and it's one.

I'd appreciate very much if this could be fixed. Let me know, thank you.

Hey there Dale,

Sorry to hear about your tenure trouble.

Have you checked out our Tenure StickyThere are some great troubleshooting steps in there that may help sort that out, or at least provide some clarity on why it has changed.

Let us know how that goes or if you have further support questions.

Hi, thanks for the response. I've tried any suggested actions to fix this and there's still no change of the tenure to 4. :/

Hey there Dale!

Can you give a rough estimate of when you created your account? And has your account been an Xbox Live Gold member for 4 full years (1460 days)?

Let us know. We'll be waiting to hear from you. =)

Hi. I believe I made it July 2009. I'm not sure if I was gold for the full amount, but regardless I had the 3 year symbol and it changed/disappeared out of no where. :/

Hey again Dale! Thank for hitting us back with that information.

I took a look at your account and the Tenure of 1 is correct.

The reason that your 3 year symbol disappeared is because there was a change in the way that Tenure is calculated. Tenure now increases only after a full year of Gold time has passed. So, for example, if I were to make a brand new Gold account today (10/2/13), next year on 10/1/14, I would have a Tenure of 0. On 10/2/13, my Tenure would increase to 1. So basically a full 365 days of Gold time has to pass before another year will be added.

Your Gold time is currently more than 1 year but less than 2 years. So once you pass another full year of Xbox Live Gold, your Tenure will increase to 2.

I hope that helps clear things up. Let us know if you have any questions. =)

Hi. Yes, this is actually kind of frustrating. Reason being, I renewed my gold May of last year, I believe it was May, because it was my first account hence, I'd have the tenure. That's why I went back to this account and used it again. I was quite happy may of 2012 as the tenure was 2 years. Then it turned to 3 years. HENCE, I continued to renew the gold. If it had not of changed tenure, I would have no renewed it and continued using my other account.

Now, all of a sudden you guys change the tenure options? That's not very cool :/

I'd really appreciate if you could put my tenure to 4. I can also show that I've been a loyal xbox live customer, I've always been a gold user, on at least one of my accounts at a time. Let me know...

Hey again Dale!

I'm sorry to say that we cannot change the Tenure of your Xbox Live account. The only thing that can change the Tenure of your Xbox Live account is the passage of time while being a Gold Member. When you have completed a second full year of Xbox Live Gold, your Tenure will increase to 2. It will then continue to go up from there as you spend more time as a Gold Member.

I'm not even wanting a my "2 year tenure". I'm wanting my 4 year tenure as it should be, it's quite annoying.

I hear you Dale, although it should not be a tenure of '4'. As Cerb has said, it is currently showing correctly as '1'.
