So I've been using upload studio to put some things together, and see what my limitations are. While you can do alot with Upload Studio, if you plan to do anything with a royalty-free music background, it is limited. Limited to the sound quality you get with playing the audio into your headset, and limited with the custom alignment of the music with specific points in the video to make it all flow correctly. In my initial run on a Battlefield 4 montage, I was able to get the music aligned correctly, but at the cost of hours of readjusting clips lengths and positioning in the video order. Then have to replay the music and video at the same time, to check for alignment issues. Then having the headset mic and phone volume at the right positions and settings, so as to not have the music overpower the game audio, but also not be too feint as to be useless. This might be a good thing, so people aren't committing copyright violations like it's nobodies business. The other big issue will be the render quality...yeah, about that. Still better than nothing though. I probably could just run my Xbox through my PC, like some others have done, but that would require more work... Plus my kids would want to touch everything, and I'd like to see them grow up to be 18, lol.
I've provided my video links below, let me know what you think about the differences between the two. Not about the render quality, I know they are terrible. There is only so much you can do when the initial render quality from Upload Studio is terribad; but more about the overall feel of the way the video plays out. Thanks in advance for any feedback you have to offer, whether good or bad.
