SCREEN BLINKS BLACK?

Hello there.

I'm in the UK and i have had multi 360's and never had and probs.

I just bought two Xbox ONE's for me and one for my boys(upstairs)

There's seems to work without any probs @ all, but mine every few minutes my screen seems to blink black the goes back to normal and keeps doing this over and over withing games and on the main ONE screen menus.

I tried ever combination of settings and nothing works. 

I have tried 3 other HDMI leads and all into 3 diff HDMI ports on my TV and even a HDMI splitter box and still nothing works.

I has a small 22"  HD TV spare so plugged that into my ONE and no blinking!! 

I took my ONE upstairs to my kids TV and NO blinking!!  I then tried my kids ONE on my TV and it blinks?

There TV is a 3mnth old 40" Toshiba and no probs.

Mine is a 4yrs old Sony KDL 37S 5500 and works with Blu Rays.. Sky boxes.. 360s.. with any probs just on the ONE

Any know why or how to resolve without buying a new TV.

When it blinks to the black screen and comes back does it show what resolution it is set at?

I have found that on my tv even though it is a 1080p Full HDTV Samsung, I cannot have my console display resolution set for 1080p on my tv. The only way to have it not blink to a black screen is to have the console set at 720p instead.

This may explain why it works on the smaller 22" tv and your kids TV. Just a thought, it may not be the issue but sounds similar so it could help.

Even with the X1 in 720p it still blinks...

I have a sony-kdl-37s5500 and have this exact same problem!!

I am having the same issue with my sony tv sony-kdl-37s5500 the same one mentioned previously....

The problem for me seems to be limited to viewing  from a connected laptop and on my Xbox one through HDMI. The picture momentary cuts to black for a split second and can be seen demonstrated in this post;

Surely there must be a fix for the issue if so many people are having problems with it??? Is any microsoft support agent able to comment on this or offer any help?

Having this issue with a 4k tv and my xboxone.  It usually fixes itself if I do a hard reset/power cycle.  But, the problem comes back about once or twice a month.   


Also, where is support on this?  Hello...xbox support team.  We have a 5 year old unresolved issue here.
