Hey i recently bought myself an xbox 360 because i used to play before. I have a question on USB flash drives. I just bought a 4gb xbox 360 slim i think thats what you call it, its the one with the kinect. Mainly for my sister, little cousins, etc. But i like playing games like Call of Duty too. My question is, if i get a USB flash drive, can i save on addons on it? Like Call of Duty mappacks and stuff? or do i need to upgrade by getting another harddrive?

You can save addons to flash drive.
I have the COD map packs on a USB drive and take it to my friends house whenever I go there. As long as the USB drive is plugged in the maps work fine.
You will get the odd game though that actually requires a hard drive for DLC or multiplayer or co-op modes to work properly. Probably because they need to use the hard drive for caching but luckily most games should work fine.

When you plug in the flash drive, it is going to ask you to format it though. Once you format it to the Xbox360 format, you can not use it with a computer, but you dont have to format the whole flash drive. I have an 8gb flash drive, but I only have 1gb of it set up as Xbox360 memory. Sorry if this all confuses you, but once you plug in the flash drive, it will ask. Good luck and happy gaming!

Note: The formatting CAN be undone on a USB flash drive. Go to storage, highlight the usb drive, and hit Y. The option will be there to undo the formatting.
