Parental email required but no details

Hi there.

If you set the correct age when setting up your xbox LIVE account, you should now have an option under the "Account Management" section on your console being "Promote Childs Account". Going through this procedure will remove the parental settings and you then have the option to set the boundaries for yourself.

Be aware that the option to promote your account will only appear once the "said" account reaches the age of 18.

I've tried looking for a section called "Promote Childs Account" but i don't seem to find it. I'm very sure i filled out my information when setting up my xbox LIVE account. Is there anyway an admin can do it for me? I just want to be able to get the dirt3 videos to upload to my youtube account.

changing the age or the windows live id will not affect the age of the gamertag

Ive checked my parental email and its an email which has been used about 6 years ago which was my mothers. That email went through a internet company and i'm not with that company anymore so that email has closed but it's still connected to my account somehow and i cannot log into it.

i know the email and password for my parents account but i type it in and it just sais "PARENTAL APPROVAL REQUIRED The parent credentials provided are incorrect. Please enter the correct parent Windows Live ID to continue"

but if i type in something different (say the email and password for another account) it tells me that either the password or email is wrong. so it knows the first email and pword is correct it just doessnt go to the next page

Irish - is it possible your parents have changed their credentials?

Its been months now and i still can't promote it. Im 19 now and it just fails. Only reason i can't do the parental email anymore is because it dosen't exist.

Banana: How does promoting your account fail? You shouldn't need any email or account information to promote an account.

I have no idea. It just asks for parental details. That's why i want someone who can look into my account to try fix it cause it's getting kinda annoying.

Can you walk me through exactly what you are doing (step by step) and tell me where you get the error? Thanks!
