When I turn it on, it takes a moment to sign me in. When I open the guide to my friends it takes a moment to load them all, when I look at their profiles it takes it's time loading what they are
doing. If I try and play online the lag is so bad that either I will quit or my opponent will quit seconds into the game.
It is not my internet, if it was it wouldn't affect so many other things and plus my internet on all of my other devices is fine and unaffected.
My Xbox runs off of my 120gb Hard drive and a 4 gb USB. I have tried running it off of one or the other and the lag is still there. If I run it off of my USB it's even slower than it was before.
Can anyone tell me what I can possibly do to fix this problem, I would buy a new Xbox but I don't have the money and that won't be an option for a couple of weeks.

Additional info: My xbox 360 is one that I received from Microsoft (refurbished) about a year and a half ago.
