cant get USB to see in xbox 360 family bundle

i have a new xbox 360 (4gb) - and I wanted to connect my Sandisk 32 GB flash drive. I formatted it to FAT32 by rightclicking on format button in windows.

I then plugged into xbox before/after xbox 360 started.. i rebooted it 2 or 3 times(and ensured its not locked)..

I cant see  the USB/flash drive at all as mentioned in below :

 Most forums answers are outdated .. I went to xbox home->Settings->Storage(and checked memory also) - and I could not find any options

to configure USB drive.

All the screen shots are outdated on this topic.

fyi.. i also tried all the 3 USB ports.. the flash drive consistently works on windows.

According to some online resources I've just looked at, people say that it can be either NTFS or FAT32. Also, apparently the drive can only have 1 partition. Do you have more than one? If so you must put it back on the PC, re-format it and make sure it has only 1 partition on the drive.

I found the issue. Sandisk cruiser glide 32 gb does not work even though it can be formatted to fat(32). It looks like the Xbox USB connection does  not fit, but it fits fine to my laptop.

The 64gb from as disk cruiser glide is worse as it can be formatted to ex fat only and just like 32gb does not fit.

I had no issue with old USB which prompted xbox to show USB menu in storage section.

The 360 can convert the drive to one gigantic FAT32 volume.[quote]and just like 32gb does not fit.[/quote]Of course, if it can't see the drive it can't do anything with it. :-)
