Can't Get a Certain Gamertag

Can someone please help me, Theres a certain gamertag I want but I cant get It despite no one has it. Its not offensive in anyway but i cannot get it. if an xbox member can please message me about it that would be very helpfull. Thankyou

Most likely it's in use on Zune or GFWL or someone already has it but with spacing hence why you can't use it.

Wouldn't, for example, fantasy woman and fantasy_woman count as two different usernames? considering XBL allows spaces in names, which is a unique character by itself.

I'm not even sure you can use an underscore in a GT to get around the spacing rule.

But, VernierSlake's earlier post is correct. It's possible the Gamertag name you are wanting is already in use as a Zune Tag or a Gamertag for Games for Windows-LIVE.

I did not know that. So if I were to send a friend request lets say to MrJerBear it would send a FR to Mr Jer Bear. Just a hypothetical question.

Nope Mr Jer Bear would get it. Even with spaces it's considered the same GT to stop impersonation.

On the outside looking in, you would probably get an error saying "MrJerBear" doesn't exist. These guidelines only apply to the creation of a Gamertag.
