Cable Modem Solutions?

hey there xbox live community, i have a question. Say you have two cable connections upstairs and downstairs. but you only have one cable modem and you can connect to xbox live up stairs and downstairs, what if i buy another cable modem, can i be on the computer upstairs but still be able to be on xbox live downstairs in my room? please help, its bothering me alot to switch modems every time i want to use my pc and xbox.

Hey mate, what are the sources of these connections, exactly? If you're not using a router currently, I suggest investing in one. It will allow you to broadcast your connection to multiple devices.
