Taskbar missing only when windows are maximized

Hello,

I used to have rocketdock (didn't like it, uninstalled it) and I had a "button" that would show and hide the taskbar. I have a feeling this "button" caused this problem but I have no idea how to fix it beyond what I've already done.

My taskbar disappears whenever I maximize any window. It used to disappear whenever a window was open, but I stopped that from happening by closing rocketdock (which made it disappear completely even when just on the desktop) but I fixed that by resetting my taskbar settings which I thought did the trick until I maximized a window. This happens with any window I open. I've tried restarting explorer.exe but that didn't work either.

I am running Vista Home Premium x32.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

LOL fixed it. I checked "keep on top of other windows" and it works now...
