Microsoft Edge Missing

I recently purchased my Microsoft Surface Pro which came with Windows 10 installed. After an update my start menu stopped responding and I used this form to help me fix that. I restored my computer to a time previous to the update, and voila my start menu was back however I had to reinstall my applications such as Microsoft Office etc.

My Microsoft edge is now missing from my start page and my task bar. When searching in my applications it is not listed. It is however in my c drive and I can make a short cut to it on my desktop, pin to start/pin to task bar, but clicking on these shortcuts opens nothing. The only way I can access Microsoft edge is when I open something from my email or by using the search bar to complete an internet search. When this happens the icon still does not show up on the task bar and once I minimize out of the application I can not open it back up.

Please advise.

Thanks

When did you purchase the computer?

Where did you purchase the computer (e.g., a Microsoft Store)?

Is Edge listed in Control Panel | Programs and Features | Turn Windows features on or off <=here and if so, is it checked/enabled?

Is KB3081455 listed in Installed Updates (not Update History)?

I bought my surface from a Microsoft Store in Toronto in August. When I go to Control Panel | Programs and Features | Turn Windows features on or off  it is not one of the programs that you can enable.

Yes the update KB3081455  is listed in my Installed Updates.

Have you installed Firefox, Chrome or any other alternate browser by any chance?

Click on/open Settings | System | Default apps | Web browser: Is Edge listed here and if so, is it checked/enabled?

You've already paid for the support. Have you contacted the Answer Desk (in person, by phone, or online) for assistance? => http://answerdesk.microsoftstore.com

I went into the Microsoft store and the staff there could not help me and suggested to reset my computer.
