Very slow to load Downloads folder in Windows 10

Hi,

When I open Downloads folder I have to wait for the content to load 5-10 seconds. When the content is loaded, it does not take so much time next time I try to open it.

Other sites suggests that changing the folder optimization to "General Items" fixes the issue. Unfortunately this is not my case. I still experience the problem after changing the setting. I reinstalled Windows 10 and still experience the issue.

Any thoughts?

Thank you
Jiri

Hi.

As I mentioned this is a clean install. Respectfully, why this matters?

Clearly this is a product issue as there are many people experiencing this. Is MS doing something to fix this?

Thank you

Jiri

Same question - I have 10 files in the folder. I close it, open it, it scans for 20+ seconds before showing the 10 files. What is going on ?

This does not help. I still get "working on it" for about 10-20 seconds.

Thanks.

Hi,

Thank you for posting your reply and updating on the status.

I suggest you to check if the issue persists in Safe Mode.

Start your PC in safe mode in Windows 10

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows-10/start-your-pc-in-safe-mode

If the issue does not persist, then suggest you to perform a Clean Boot. A clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Vista. You may also troubleshoot or determine what conflict is causing the problem by performing a clean boot.

* Place the computer in a Clean Boot and check if the issue is occurring due to any third party programs.

Follow the link to view the steps to perform Clean Boot:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929135

Disclaimer:  Start the computer in normal mode refer the section, "How to reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting" from the link above.

Hope this helps. Keep us posted on the status for further assistance.

Dear MS Support,

In my humble opinion these kind of suggestions are not helpful!

Thank you.

Hi EKEeshwar.

I really appreciate the effort, but please get some more senior help. There "robot" type of answers are not helpful. We need to debug this issue if we want to know what the problem is.

Is there anyone in MS team who can help us to debug this problem?

Thanks
