How to configure Outlook as default app for email hyperlinks?

This question is equal parts Windows 8 and Outlook, but after posting this question in the Windows 8 forum I was told to come here.

I just started started using Windows 8 and I also using Outlook 2010. I clicked on a email address within Outlook to start a new email and I was presented with a popup that asked me what application I wanted to email with and I was presented two icons, one for Outlook, one was a white and blue logo that I didn't recognize. Out of curiosity I clicked the white and blue logo and it took to some sort thing that I didn't that didn't entirely understand but thought that it was built into the OS and is somehow possibly tied to windows live. Anyways, I want to keep using Outlook but now the default is for this other white and blue thing. How do I setup Outlook as the default?
