Paste text into Word does not work when in iPad Split View

On my iPad Pro 12.9 (iOS 10.3.3) it often happens that I am writing Word document in Split View with Safari open as the secondary app. It often happens that I copy text from a website or the URL, and that when I try to paste it into Word, either nothing can be pasted (so there is no paste option in the pop-up menu) or it pastes whatever was previously on the clipboard. 

I know it is a problem with Word, because when I open the Notes app and press paste, the text or URL selected most recently is pasted as expected. However, when I try to paste it from there into Word, often the same as mentioned above happens. 

The work-around is to paste it in Notes, then copy it again in Notes and try to paste it into Word.

Word team: please try to reproduce this bug and fix it.

For issue on video 3498, we will report it to the related team. Thanks for the feedback. I will summarize the issue below.

Issue description

When copying a URL from Safari, pasting it into Office applications does not work.

Environment

iOS version 10.3.2.

Office version 2.1 (170512).

Workaround

Paste the URL into Notes, copy it again and paste it into Office.

Alternatively, use a third-party browser such as Chrome. We have verified that using Chrome, copying the URL to Office works as expected.

Additional Information

We have reported this behavior to the related team.

For issue on video 3500 and 3505, copy and pasting from Chrome is OK on our side. If you are still using a TestFlight version of Word, please install the one from the AppStore, as the TestFlight version is an Insider build.

We would like to know the result from a stable build. If the issue persist, please create a new thread describing the problem as well as the iOS and Word version.
