How many PowerPoint presentations are given daily worldwide?

The generally mentioned figure is 30 million daily (across the globe), but that's already from several years ago.  If anyone has any recent stats on this, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I doubt that anyone here at Microsoft Community has a more accurate number.

One. The same presentation is just given over and over. Seriously, there is no way anyone can know. I'm sitting in front of a presentation right now. How does anyone know? Who would be keeping track? If anyone is, I would be really worried.

Hi David! Thanks for your message. I agree with you, ha, ha. Though, a few years ago, a Microsoft spokesperson did say 30 million.

And are you actually GIVING it or are you just sitting there staring at it?
Does it count one way and not the other?

What if it's on the screen but you're not even paying attention to it?  Shouldn't that count, since it's pretty much the typical powerpoint presentation scenario?

This is really a Quantum Physics question and it should be posted on that community forum. :-)

Actually, doing surveys with a decent sample would yield some good predictive power about this. They don't need to know exactly how many individual presentations are happening at every moment in time. I can watch the highway near my house for 5 minutes and give you a pretty good prediction of how many cars pass in a day.

Could you predict how many cars pass any house in the world though?

I could do the same and I promise you, the answer would be WILDLY off unless I were lucky enough to choose the 5 minutes when the average number of cars for any 5 minute period happens to pass.

I'm about 15 minutes from downtown where there are many offices/employees. If I count cars 15 minutes before the half-hour or the hour when most of them start work, the result will easily be ten times the number I'd get by counting five minutes earlier or later.
