Give control in Teams

I wonder if the host can "give control" to the participant when the participant joined Teams meeting using a web browser (that is if the participant do not have the app Teams installed)?

I could share screen and select participant to give control of my screen when both of us using Teams software. However when the participant joined the meeting using Edge or Chrome browser, I cannot click on the "give control" bar. Is there a way to solve that?

Thanks

Answer

Hi 10AW20

Good day to you.

We first appreciate that you find this point. Actually, it is not currently feasible to give and take control of shared content during sharing via Teams web app.

As the prompt shown, this is due to a technical limitation. Our dedicated team and engineers are planning to fix. Besides, to give you a better experience, I suggest you use Teams desktop since some features aren't supported in Teams web app. Thanks for your understanding in advance.

If you have anything unclear, please feel free to let us know.

Regards,

Joey
