Xbox playable list for Xbox 360. What were you thinking?

A brief but memorable explanation on the whole backward compatible thing.

The 360 doesn't have the guts of the old console inside it like the PS2 & Wii do as such it relies on a software emulator to make backward compatible games work. As such compatibility was always going to be spotty and if a game isn't up there it's doubtful they could get it too work.

they either couldn't get it to work or any number of reasons such as they lost the rights to publish it

So in the bluntest sense. Microsoft, in all it's computer glory, fails miserably when it comes to making follow up consoles, and still has much catching up to do with it's competitors.

Hardly, the PlayStation 3 doesn't have any PS2 BC at all, it can only play PSone titles.  So in short, the Wii plays all GC games, the 360 plays some Xbox games and the PS3 plays Zero PS2 games.

An other reason is that the original xbox used nvidia's GPU. Now the xbox 360 uses ATI, since nvidia and MS had something that happened between them.

is Planetside Arena on Xbox One ?

and is it free to play ?
