The currently signed in gamer profile does not have permission to play on XBOX Live

I recently purchased XBOX Live-Gold but whenever i try and play Soul Calibur 5 online i get this message

Hi Ceris013.  Is it just this game you are having problems with? 

If you purchased LIVE via the website, there can be a delay activating it on your console.  You can fix the delay by downloading your Gamertag again from LIVE.

You could try deleting your profile (and just the profile mind) from your console and downloading it again from LIVE.  Please see this support guide: http://support.xbox.com/en-us/xbox-live/how-to/xbox-live-account-management/gamer-profile#recover

Be sure to follow the above guide to remove your profile and insure you only delete the profile and nothing else.  Then, download your Gamertag from LIVE and try your game again.
