When will Skate 3 be available to be played on Xbox One? My son received this game for Chrismas and is anxious to play it.

It was actually annouced several months ago that titles would not be given release dates for the backwards compatibility program. When they become available, they will be released at that point in time. Titles such as Skate 3 and Call of Duty: Black Ops were announced as "Coming Soon", meaning a work in-progress. Please stay tuned to Major Nelson's blog, the backwards compatibility page, and the Xbox News page for more information!
In regards to the games "people don't even play", the backwards compatibility program is not a popularity contest. Our voices are heards on the Xbox Feedback page, but votes will not guarantee BC status. The games that are being released more than likely receive permission from the developers of the games quicker, with patches that are easier to implement, than with some of the other third-party AAA titles.

This game has been announced as an upcoming title for Xbox One backward compatibility! However there is not a specific date. You can find the whole list of backward compatible games at www.xbox.com/.../backward-compatibility
