reposting again as i can't repost in my other threads and not sure why

I have went to a freinds house and my game disk worked on his xbox. installed it on my hd using his system. But still when i get back home to my xbox it will not even read the disk. I am getting agitated by this because i knoww it is because of the 6/23 update but i have not been able to fix it in anyway.

 

I deleted my whole hard drive

I cleared my cache

i tried other games and it works.

My disk is not the issue as that worked at friends house.

not sure what i need to do. again i have only a portable HD

 

So someone told me the update may have updated my whole xbox but how is that possible if i have no memory in my xbox? does that mean it updated the chip somehow. I am sorry i keep reposting but for some reason i can only post once when i start a thread

Clear your browser cookies and if you use IE 8/9 make sure compatibility view setting are on for xbox.com.

Does your console not read any discs and do you get any error messages?.
