Help Earning My Wings.

I just re-bought GoW 2, and it's been a good while since I've played, so I suck at the moment.

I am trying to earn my Wings during the 21X's XP event, but the way things are going for me I will probably not get them in time :/

Can I get some helpful insight on how to get good enough to play well and get my Wings before GoW 3?

I really appreciate anyone's help, I've tried thinking of multiple ways to go about this issue..and well, this one works best :)

P.S. To tell the truth, I've never been too good at Gears online, but I love the game to death.

The fastest way would be to boost via KOTH. You could join TA and try to set up a match for boosting.Here is a link for TA and how to boost.
