Haven't played much since Knoxx first came out...

there are a few hardcore regulars on this forum, that will play with you if you are serious and don't use modded stuff, or have the keep your insides inside glitched undoable mission.

I have ZERO interest in glitched playing and have not dealt with modded gear whatsoever.

Then feel free to add myself and Cosmic here. We'll get you though what ever you need.

I don't glitch but have that keep your insides inside on my list of missions don't know how it got there is that some kind of game virus?

It's a glitched quest that does not supposed to be active ever, but thanks to people modding the game this sprung out and spread like a virus. Nothing harmful comes from it, just you can NEVER complete it. If you host a game and someone joins your game they get that quest right away and now they are stuck with it. You got it by joining a random or a friends game whom had it. Personally i don't want the glitch so I only play with friends, avoid random people, host myself if they do have it.

the way Borderlands works in Co-Op is the player that Host will give their unfinished missions to the player that joins.

This way the host and other players can do the missions together.

If the player that joins the host has already done the mission then the host has to be there to do the missions work.

So if the host has a mission that can't be done that mission ends up being shared to others who don't have that quest thus that mission is spread like a virus.

To prevent that spread use the same character to always Host a game and never join strangers games, or friends who have that undoable mission.

If you have a character that has it, then never host a game with that character you can safely join others but if you host it will spread. The other thing to do is delete that character, or if you know how there is another way that you will have to find on the gearbox forums.

How to find out if you have this ... play Borderlands do a mission when you turn in your mission the default quest aka the next main quest to do will show listed... it is says "Buy Shield" even if you have done the quest Fix'er Upper when Zed tells you to fix the machine and get a shield, you could get the shield but you can't turn in the quest. And when you do other quests it will default back to that one to be turned in.

There is a lot of stuff that Gearbox planned for borderlands and not fully removed before it was released, some of those things are still hidden in the game, thanks to the PC version of the game and customizing of it that Gearbox welcomes (see their forum called off world creations). Some of these things have found their way in to the console version of the game.

I really feel that these unable to turn in quests have caused an embarrassing problem for Gearbox, and the fact that they have failed to patch this. I wonder if they will or just let Borderlands 1 become abandoned with this problem.

OH!  I joined a friend's game a month or so ago, to show him around in the game and to help when he needed it.  I'm still doing it once a week.  Funny but I have that "shield" thing on my screen now.  But I've done the whole game, so it doesn't bother me that it's there.  Thanks Cosmic!

its just an annoyingthing -it defaults to that -thats why on 3 of my characters that have the glitch i didnt bother doing the claptrap revolution so at least when im playing solo it doesnt go back to it.have 4 i use for random joining games  for the sole purpose of not getting more bugged characters.
