GTA V on Demand "Disc unreadable" right after install

I have recently bought GTA V earlier yesterday and when it finished it wouldn't launch giving me Disc unreadable.

If anyone has found a fix for this I will be so happy. -A Loyal Xbox Live Custumer

G'day NanoGamer! Sorry to hear about the troubles with GTA V. Let's see what we can find out.

Is this the only game that kicks the Disc Unreadable error? Can you try a different game to see if it does the same?
Is it disc 1, disc 2, or both that are unreadable?

Try clearing the cache and then restart the console to see if that helps.
Also check out our disc drive guide for that particular error.
If only one disc is having trouble, try it on another console. Maybe a friend or relative would be willing to help with this.

Let us know what you're able to try, and how it goes. We'll work from there. =)

I have tried all of this already. I also bought it on demand? It was finished and when I launched the game it said Disc Unreadable? I tried to re-install it and it wouldn't even say I bought it on my account? Hope you can find a fix.

Hm, that's strange. Did the game not appear in your Download History? Is there a possibility it was purchased by another profile on your console?

If you're sure it was this profile, check your transactions at commerce.microsoft.com to make sure the purchase went through there.

Misses at the time I currently only have 3 profiles and only one of them has live. The only one that is currently being used is my nanogamer101 account at the time. I have checked all the Download History on every account and has not popped up. Plus the purchase must of gone through because the game finished downloading then gave me the horrible "Disc unreadable" error.

It's nice that someone's trying to help but it'd be nicer if they read your question fully. I have a friend with a similar issue that I was looking for an answer for here. This is a DISC-LESS GAMES ON DEMAND VERSION of Grand Theft Auto V that OP (and I am asking about). There is NO ACTUAL PHYSICAL DISC in the XBox, yet Disc Read Errors are popping up. Why?

Hey Nasty Ronco,

Have you already tried all stated above? If not, please do so.

If yes, try to clear your system cache 3 times.

Do you encounter any difference?

Also, does the game appear in your download history?

Looking forward to hear from you.

Off topic, normally, users need to create  a new thread after the thread has been unanswered for about 2 á 3 months.

Met vriendelijke groet,

Delete game, clear cache 3xin a row support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache Download a demo or a couple of demos about the same size as your game let them fully download then download your game again. delete the demos if you wish. as stated above its probably best to start your own thread in the future as this one is fairly old.
