Fake gamertags?

Doesn't that normally show as gamertag1 and gamertag1(1)?

Here's more detail, with your gamertag as an example.

If you look in the list of recently played players, you'll see two players with the gamertag "Kanaye v2."  When you view each one, one will show as "Kanaye v2" but the other will be "joe blow."

this sounds something different

unless it is like myself i have recently changed my G/T

so if you enter my  present G/T on elite it still shows my previous G/T  bullet magnetzz

Not on elite.  On Xbox Live.

Could it be because of two people using two separate live accounts on the same xbox?  I know in Halo you can do that.  Maybe a glitch caused by that.

Reminds me of a problem that was present when the Metro Dashboard was released. Some users saw their names repeated for everybody that was on a party chat when viewed on the Guide menu.

Sounds plausible, My wife and I sometimes play split screen on my Xbox, she has her own Gold account.
