If I were you, I wouldn't waste your energy on excitement for this game coming to the 360. Plenty of MMO's have been announced as coming to the 360. But it's no coincidence that there hasn't been one on the console in almost 7 years. Microsoft experimented with MMO's back when the 360 was still in its infancy. The result of that experiment, they now hate MMO's.

-

They hate the lack of control they have over the game. They hate that they have to let people play on xbox live without paying for a gold membership. They hate a great many things. Don't get me wrong, as of right now I'm sure the plan is to put this game on the 360. But that's always the plan. Microsoft will make some unreasonable demands or back out at the last minute just like they always do.

The only way we will ever see an MMO on a Microsoft console, is if Microsoft makes it themselves. But MMO's are typically for "hardcore gamers". And they spit in the face of people like that. So in the unlikely event that we do get an MMO on here, it will likely be World of Kinectcraft, or The Kinect Republic, or Kinect Wars, or maybe even Age of Kinect. But Defiance? I doubt it.

Anyone who owns a xbox 360, loves third person shooters, loot, 1000+ player co-op, making your own stand out character, lots of guns, and a massive interactive world to explore needs to check this game out! There have only been around two other MMO games on the Xbox 360 and this one will definitely be the best one so far, which more icing on the cake is that it's also FREE TO PLAY! Meaning you buy the game and that's it, no monthly fee to keep on playing after purchase!

P.S. Anyone getting the game is more than welcome to join our Xbox guild, check it out at darkl3gion.enjin.com/home

Actually the game is coming out, a former roommate is working at Trion Worlds the developers of Defiance and he can confirm the game's release on consoles on April. There is no subscription fee, therefore it will be much easier to implement the game as its a third person shooter first an MMO second.

the subscription isn't the problem the problem is MS won't let you update a game without paying, MMOs need CONSTANT updates, not just to fix bugs but add content, I doubt trion plans on forking over $10,000~$50,000 a month just to keep the game updated.

You don't know their business strategy, like I said and the developers have made it very clear, Defiance is a third person shooter first and an MMO second.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 was something similar in that it was a racing game with some MMO aspects. While the game had some launch day problems which persisted for several months they were eventually fixed and the developers continued to release updates following its release.

Im pretty sure Trion Worlds and SyFy have both taken into consideration what the game is trying to accomplish, this isn't something they thought about last night this is something they had to think about during early development.

As far as the investment into releasing updates or new content Im not sure if Microsoft is still as strict as it was before, but this is something the developers had to take into consideration from the beginning, otherwise they wouldn't have dipped their toes on a console release at all.

I take my friend's word over anyone anyways, he is working on the game.

[/quote]I'm fairly positive, that the method they will use for updates will be similar to what GoW3 is doing, they don't release new title updates and patches each month, but the way the game is built they can update and add new modes to the online portion via their dedicated servers, rather than an update when you go to play the game. I think this is the difference here. Epic is updating the MP modes every week or they were at least for a long time. But there wasn't any title updates for the game, once all the DLC was released. Any huge expansions such as new areas with new missions and storylines that expand them size of the world that is included on the disk and  will probably come in the form of later paid for DLC. That is my theory anyway.

BUNGI IS COME OUT WITH YOU KNOW WHAT FOR THIS (MMO). SKYRIM ONLINE IS COMING OUT FOR THIS.. ALL MMO or RPG WILL BE BASED ON THE BOX... NOT PC STYLE... THE NEW YOUTH PREFER TABLETS OVER LAPTOPS  AND LAPTOPS OVER TOWERS... Please use the INTERNET AND STUDY A BIT BEFORE COMMENTING..
