Best way to do this weeks weekly challenge plus need help

There's a thread here that has some very good tips that have been proven very useful.

This week's challenge is simple-ish. On Nightfall, you can sign in a 2nd controller as guest, or invite a friend it doesn't have to be on the co-op playlist. I AFK'd my second controller with my son's account since it was such a high amount and used the 'forklift glitch'. Assassinate that first elite like usual, then run past everything. When you get near the pylon, assassinate the elite and the grunts on the bridge, and get in the forklift. Drive to the left where the gate is, and park so that where your spartan jumps out is lined up with the center of the gate. You might have to make some minor adjustments and try a couple of times, but when you do it right he'll pass through the gate and no enemies will spawn in the last section. Should take you 5-6 minutes tops, both players get the weeky, and if you turn on famine you get one of today's dailies. You can also use this to farm 'Flawless Cowboy' commendations

Sample run on file share, not rendered. (I was running both controllers.) Took me a couple of tries to get past that section with several grunts XD, but I got a good angle on the positioning for the forklift glitch. At the end I was just flying around to show there were no enemies in that area, and that the other player was still before the pylon.

I actually got credit for this challenge twice. I don't know if anyone noticed, but for the past few days or so, challenges have been giving you credit when you complete them, but sometimes will reset themselves the next to you access the game or turn on your Xbox.

The issue was reported on the 343 forums, and BS Angel said that she hadn't heard of any sort of punishment for people doing it twice. So, me and my buddy actually got 60,686 cR from the weekly this week.

The first run we did on Nightfall went flawlessly. The 2nd time, not so much. We did 2 attempts on the 2nd try and both failed with the Forklift glitch. I got through the door both times, but the enemy AI were already loaded. We had to kill about half of them and then just make a mad dash past the rest while we were getting bombarded with plasma fire. Those Shade Turrets were quite a pain while trying to deal with Elites.

The exact same thing happened to my friend and I Noble.

I got paid twice whereas he didn't, but the first time was effortless and we had to restart it twice after that to do it the second time because the enemies were again already loaded...

My dailies got reset yesterday, I was in FF and had the little progress bar show up. Sure would be nice if my weekly got reset. =}

I tried to get it (the 9minute completion one) done about 10 times. Kept getting teamed up with players who wanted to shoot me, grenade me, didn't get the point of the game, quit early, or just wouldn't help when it was needed.

Consequently, I didn't get the 30k+ cR. (Thanks a lot you numbskulls who make a good game a frustration).

Tried it solo too but it didn't give the credit, nor did it flash the challenged failed msg.

Hopefully this is the exception rather than the rule.....but I doubt it.

Hang on, hang on... Doesn't this Challenge stick around until about 8 Monday, I30? I'll give it a shot with you if you need a partner, we're both on AND the Challenge hasn't reset (I don't think it will have).

Dude, just grab a 2nd controller & sign it into Guest. Do a mad dash for the Pylon then use the forklift glitch on the gate. I got a re-run I did on my file share if you want to see what I mean. ^_^

You were correct CSB it is Monday night. Why I was thinking Sunday I have no idea (Perhaps I'm getting Alzhiemers, I'm getting on in years y'know). So, I booted up the Xpox and got teamed up with some co-operative players and we did the challenge easily. That was 7:30pm local time and the challenges reset at about 8pm. Thanks for your offer of help too.
