Updating Avatar Clothes taking a long time?

I'm trying to change my avatar around but whenever I do it starts updating my clothes or something?
And then it just keeps looping for ages. The bar never fills and it just sits there.
I've waited a considerable amount of time and tried several different methods to sort it out but the bar never fills.

Are you doing this from the console or the web?

I tried using the online editor and it's giving me an error message.

Log out, clear your cache, close the browser and then open it up again and try once more.

OK, going back to the console, could you possibly run a Network connection test? Steps here.

After that try from the console again to make changes.

I do not see any reason why this would fail from both places...

Are you able to perform other actions on Live? For instance, see online friends, send messages, access online games, and so on.

Ok so I did that and still nothing.

I can still perform other live actions, just for some reason whenever I try to update my avatar clothes it just doesn't want to move.

Hey I had this issue too and this is what I did to fix the issue. I deleted all my avatar items and then went to my download history on the Xbox website. From there I queued every avatar item I had purchased to download for when I signed in on my console later. After I signed in on my console, I let all the things finish downloading & loaded up the avatar editor. The updating bar started loading properly & bing, ten seconds later, everything is back in order. You do have to recreate your avatar but that's better than having no avatar.
