Need some advice about a external HDD.

I was looking into getting a external HDD for my laptop and came across this-

Buffalo LinkStation Live 1TB MultiMedia Network Attached Storage with Built-In BitTorrent Client

Does anybody know if  it, or any others, are compatible with the 360?

P.s. tried to add a link. But, failed.

EDIT: I would be using it as a media hub for films and music.

You can not add any third party HDD's to your Xbox console only the Official Xbox HDD can be added.

He could make a partition on the HD for him to add save files etc.

Or if he wanted to add media to that HD and stream via his Xbox i'm sure it would work as any USB device should do...

If i'm wrong i'll eat my hat!

EDIT: As the other guy has said he can not be used as a replacement to the HD in its casing etc etc; that is a no no!

Ah the linkstation. Fantastic piece of kit. I've got mine set up so I can FTP into it from home, and I can even connect to the Bittorrent client for when I need to download the latest version of Ubuntu. >_>

Anyhow, when you say compatible - do you mean as a storage solution for games, gamertags etc? Because it's probably not. It's formatted to ext, and even if you could plug it in to the 360 (which you can't - it connects via ethernet with a USB port for plugging additional USB devices) - I'm sure the software on the device will not take kindly to a console reformat.

But, if you are looking for it to stream media content, then it works with the 360 perfectly. I've moved all my movies and TV series to it so I can give my desktop a break.
