I can't connect to Xbox LIVE and all of my Achievements and Friends are gone!

The story is, I inserted an e-mail address and password so I could recover an old gamertag. I thought that if I used the same email address and password from my current gamertag, it would recover it. But, I ended up recovering a gamertag I already have. I can't connect to Xbox Live anymore and all my Achievements have been erased.

 

I don't know what to do to reverse this but I could really use some advice as to what exactly I should be doing to get all of this stuff back.

Hey mate, I'm a bit confused. You tried recovering one Gamertag with your email and password, but ended up with a different Gamertag? What happens when you try and connect to LIVE with it? And is this the Gamertag in question, or a different one?

Try deleting all profiles, and try recovering them again.
