Gears of War 2 boots up to black screen

This has happened in the past 4 days. I thought because gears is an old disc it needed replacing. I have a new one, but it comes up with the same issues. The splash screen appears then black. Anyone else experienced this. My Xbox is an Elite.

This seems to be a profile corruption but I need more help from XBOX support on this. gearsforums.epicgames.com/showthread.php

try clear cache if doesnt work delete and recovery gamertag :)

I've had a few problems with corrupt game saves when I moved between 2 consoles which had different versions of the game. (That is, the second console had not downloaded the title update yet)

I had to start over and some of my achievements are still screwy.

Back up you game save to a USB, then delete it. Then see if starting over fixes your problem. If so, you're doomed to start over!
