connection to xbox live

every time i try to connect to xbox live all i get is that " your windows live id is already connected to another gamertag..." answer even the id i created a few minutes ago

what is the problem and how can i get my money back if this id cant be connected to xbox live (because i bought point for a game that i cant play now)

Wait, how were you able to log in to live and buy points on a gamertag you can't log in on?

Unless you're saying you created the id here on xbox.com, then created the same tag on your 360. In that case it will always be taken (by you).

What you need to do is recover the gamertag (go to where you sign in, and select recover gamertag).
