Deleted user account continues to reappear

I have continually deleted a particular user account (it was a standard user account) however it re-appears constantly.  Now I have 6 of these identities - each one named as such Joseph Corona.Rhonda-PC; Joseph Corona.Rhonda-PC.000; Joseph Corona.Rhonda-PC.001 and so on.  I have successfully deleted other users without issue.  I upgraded my system from Windows Vista to Windows 8 without incident and apart from this issue are very happy with the upgrade.

I have used another account (administrator as well) to delete but good ole' Joe just keeps coming back!  Help please, this is driving me nuts.

Many thanks

Rhonda Stubbs

Hi Rhonda,

Thank you for the update.

I would recommend you to run the Offline Windows Defender and check if it helps.

What is Windows Defender Offline?

Note: Any data files that are infected may be cleaned by deleting the file entirely, which means there is a potential for data loss.

Keep us posted on the status of the issue.
