Are you referring to Windows XP Compatibility Mode or Windows XP Mode?
Windows 8 does not include XP Mode.
If you are referring to Windows XP Mode you may refer:
In Windows 8 Pro, Microsoft has replaced its previous virtualization solution, Windows Virtual PC, with a more powerful and
capable solution called Hyper-V. In Hyper-V can install any number of Operating System.
Check the system requirements to use Hyper-V.
