lexmark x4650 driver not working with Windows 8

Hi,

I did a-g steps before, and used Troubleshoot Compatibility for win8 driver, also for win7 driver (as it worked with win7).

Anyway, driver installation was failed every time, software was installed, working, but printer wasn't listed anywhere in software or device manager.

I did fixed the problem somehow with automatic update (right clock on device with problem, driver update), strange thing is, that Windows couldn't find the driver if software wasn't installed (if I uninstalled all what I've tried to install). But with software installed, and not working driver, Windows update somehow found some working driver.

So, in case if anyone else will have same problem with Lexmark printers working in Win8:

1. Install driver package, whatever Windows will not be able to use printer driver.

2. Make sure your Windows can download and install update without any user actions - fully automatic.

3. Right click on printer device in device manager, driver update, let windows to search for driver online.

Keep in mind, for some reason driver installation will take about 10minutes with (in my case) with automatic reboot after installed.

@ Microsoft, there are really ugly problems with drivers, with lot of devices, you should build large drivers base.
