What software is good for SONY DCR-DVD201 camcorder?

I have a SONY DCR-DVD201 camcorder, which used to work fine on my old Windows XP, albeit I hated its ImageMixer software. For my new Windows 7 (HP p6280t), should I be looking for new drivers at Microsoft? SONY does not have one for Windows 7 yet.

Can I purchase another software (other than ImageMixer) that would work on Windows 7 and can access/edit my DVDs from the camcorder?

When you plug it in does Windows install drivers for it?  If so you can use Windows Live Movie Maker, if not you'll need to wait for Sony to release a Win7 driver for it.
