Use the CD that came with your motherboard, the Ethernet drivers will be on there. If you don't have that disc any more, you can download the drivers from Intel's website on a computer with a working connection and transfer them to the computer on a USB drive.
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18196&ProdId=3066&lang=eng should be the drivers you need.

I have this same issue. I have a gigabyte EX58-UD3LR motherboard and when I upgraded from Vista 64 bit to windows 7 64 bit, the internet wouldn't work. So I used my laptop to download the driver for windows 7 64 bit and installed it on my other computer (the one with the issues). And now my network icon at the bottom doesn't have an X and looks as though it is connected to the internet but when I try to use the internet it doesn't work at all. Skype is the only thing that connects. Not even Internet Explorer connects. so I wanted to know if there were any other known issues for this and if so are there any solutions other than to put vista back on my computer.

Hi,
Install chipset drivers first. You can find them here . After installation reboot Your system and try to install lan drivers again.

How to find all drivers for win7 to this motherboard on Intel site?

Enter this link. Choose there in Operation Sytems: Windows7, 64 bit -> Drivers and below there will be all latest drivers:

Audio , Lan , Chipset , RAID and CIR .

Hi, I have a new toshiba laptop and there is an exclamation next to the laptop icon in control panel.  It says " the driver for ethernet controller is not is not installed."  This is a new windows 7 that came loaded when I bought it.  So I went to Trouble Shoot and it said " trouble shooting was unable to auto fix all of the issues found.  You can find more details below, Ethernet controller doesn't ha a driver"  I can get on the internet just fine, email, everything.  What is this problem and should I be concerned.  I do have problem with the scan feature of my also new HP 6500 all in one printer/fax/scanner, is this related?  Go slow with answers, I'm good but Im not a hot rod.  thanks, B
