Windows 10 installaion has failed at 22% of process

My computer is DELL Inspiron 7447 (for more information: http://www.dell.com/th/p/inspiron-14-7447-laptop/pd)

My windows is Windows 8.1 Single Language (OEM Version). And, since July 29, 2015, the icon GWX on the notification area was disappeared but my reservation in the Windows Update page still there.

I have installed Windows 10 using Media Creation Tool x64 for several times. Everything is fine until 22% of installation process ( After I choose what I keep and click "install"). I don't know why it has failed but I think I don't have enough space? After, the system downloaded the file for installation, there s around 8GB left of the C:/ but the installer didn't warn anything about it (At first, there is only 600MB and the installer warned me that it doesn't enough.)

Thanks for you help.

Everytime you want to install Windows 10 with the Media Creation Tool, you have to download Windows 10.

Finally, the worst way is clean install Windows 8.1 and then upgrade to Windows 10. It's work! Do not forget to back up your data first.

If your pc is getting stuck at 22% then giving you the "Something Happened" and you have tried all the fix's the web has to offer and you are still stuck try this.

1. Open System Recovery Options when you start your computer(Most computers press F8 as soon as your pc starts. If you have HP like me press Esc)

2. Run the command prompt given by the System Recovery Options and type bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd

3. If it says 0 windows installation, type bcdedit /createstore bcd

4. After that type bcdedit /import bcd, finally type bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd

5. You will be asked to confirm just press Y and restart the computer and if everything goes well run the media creation tool without the error this time and install windows 10!
