Where is ntbtlog.txt?

I followed the instructions here

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12376/windows-10-start-your-pc-in-safe-mode

I chose F1 to bootlog.  I did it twice and both times I did not get a boot log file.

I searched the Windows folder and was given an ntbtlog.txt from January but nothing in October.

I ran search for ntbtlog.txt for all of  C drive, and also got nothing.

Anyone have any ideas?

That link was no help.

In Win 10 ( link was for Win2000) when given choices of HOW to boot if you choose

F1 ,which is the choice for bootlog, it immediately starts to boot and returns nothing.

Once again I thank you for trying to help.

You might want try the link I put in my original post and choose " From sign in screen" These instructions seem to be for Win 10 NOT Windows 2000 and see if you can get F1 to work.
