Is there any way to disable Cached Exchange Mode in Outlook 2011 for Mac?

At my workplace, I recently switched from a PC running Windows XP and Outlook 2007 to a Mac running Snow Leopard and Outlook 2011. I'm connecting to an Exchange server to get my email. On my PC, I had Cached Exchange Mode disabled, so that messages were not downloaded to my PC. From my understanding, on the Mac, there is no option to disable Cached Exchange Mode. This is an issue for me, since I have several shared mailboxes that contain millions of messages, and Outlook is downloading them all to my Mac. This process brings Outlook to a halt, and I've had to rebuild my identity several times. Thus far I haven't been able to successfully add my shared mailboxes.

Anyone know of any way, even a hack, to disable Cached Exchange Mode on Outlook 2011?
Answer
Answer

The Cached Exchange mode is not currently available in Outlook 2011.

Refer to the following article to know more on the Exchange Server configurations available for Outlook 2011; you could select the option to Download Headers only:
