My computer crashes EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. it *tries* to come out of sleep mode.

My computer crashes EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. it *tries* to wake up from sleep. It's always a BSOD followed by it saying gathering data and then when it reached 100% it says it will automatically restart. But it never does. I hear the hard drive turn off. But the screen stays on with that message and nothing else happens.  So I manually restart and then it does it again whenever i try to wake my computer up. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I've sent many error reports containing the same information for every time it crashed. The reason was always page fault in non paged area. HELP it is getting really freaking annoying because I can barley use my computer because its always crashing.

Toshiba S50D-A

Quad core A10-5745M APU with dual Radeon Graphics. 8GBs of ram. Automatic paging file size is selected. I had it set to default 8gbs and maximum 16gbs.

All drivers are latest versions and I noticed it started around when I installed the Windows 8.1 update that added the taskbar everywhere and the power options on the start screen.

Thanks for the kernel-dump!

It's of the PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50) bug check.

This indicates that invalid system memory has been referenced.

Bug check 0x50 usually occurs after the installation of faulty hardware or in the event of failure of installed hardware (usually related to defective RAM, be it main memory, L2 RAM cache, or video RAM).

Another common cause is the installation of a faulty system service.

Antivirus software can also trigger this error, as can a corrupted NTFS volume.

^^ rtwlane.sys calls into a pagefault, which is the Realtek PCI-E Wireless LAN NIC NDIS driver. With this said, something working heavily with the network is causing NETBIOS conflicts, and leading to corruption.

-------------------

1. Remove and replace avast! with Windows 8's built-in Windows Defender for temporary troubleshooting purposes as it's very likely causing NETBIOS conflicts:

avast! removal - http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility

Windows Defender (how to turn on after removal) - http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/21962-windows-defender-turn-off-windows-8-a.html

2. AODDriver2.sys is listed and loaded in your modules list which is AMD Overdrive; also in EasyTune6 for Gigabyte motherboard. Known BSOD issues in Win7 & 8.

Please uninstall either software ASAP! If you cannot find either software to uninstall, or it's not installed, please navigate to the following filepath:

C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Fuel\amd64\AODDriver2.sys

and rename AODDriver2.sys to AODDriver.2old

and then Restart.

Yes, go ahead and check the manufacturers website for a Realtek driver update listed under Network. If not there, check here - http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=13&PFid=21&Level=4&Conn=3
