Why HALO 4 is a joke.

Or we can wait and see how it turns out during the development cycle and after launch before we make judgement on such claims for a game we barely know anything about at the moment.

I think I'll wait at least untill the beta gameplay to decide for MYSELF if I will boy it or not

Some people just can't accept that Halo 4 is officially a reality.

I remember back in the Halo 3 days on this forum, there were arguments on the possibility of Halo 4.

Naysayers refused to accept the notion despite the obvious facts (like Halo makes serious $$$ for MS).

Anyway, I'll judge it after the multiplayer beta and final product comes out.

I will give you some credit in this argument.

A completely new developer working on one of the most beloved gaming franchises of all time? I'm INCREDIBLY worried, just like you. 343i's (Developer taking the place of Bungie) is taking over Halo: Reach in less than a month. We'll have quite some time to see how they interact with the community and see how they handle Halo: Reach. Hopefully it's a good one!

The only reason no one likes weapon augmentations and perks is because Call of Duty implemented them so poorly. Battlefield is on a better track, but I think Halo could very well give us a very balanced sandbox of all sorts of goodies. Just remember, before Halo: Reach came out no one believed they could balance all of the Armor Abilities. And they have done a WONDERFUL job of making sure they all work very well with each other. I truly believe Halo could implement a customization system LIKE Call of Duty's but instead of being an annoyance, it's a great way to make your playstyle unique. 

I only consider a series milking after they throw a different color/skin on the graphics and pump out the same junk every year. Guitar Hero, Call of Duty, etc. Halo isn't anywhere close to being on that track... yet. It really all depends on how Halo 4 performs. 

This is just far too early to tell though. I do agree with the scrutiny though. I am very, VERY worried about the Halo franchise. Once we start getting some gameplay and things like that, I'll be able to form a decent enough opinion. But right now, it's all speculation! 

You're abit of a fool i think, you no nothing about how the game plays at all yet, so you have no idea whether it is going to be a joke or not.  I'd rather wait till there is more information about the game, than judge it just after it has been announced.

I think you are judging the game far too quickly. All we have seen is a quick CGI trailer.

So what if bungie isn't making it. A few of the people who work for 343 worked at bungie anyway and im sure they still have a pretty talented team or I dont think they would have been allowed to continue the halo series. Also from the interview I read on IGN recently the game will be running on a slightly updated version on the Halo:Reach engine so at the very least it will look and feel like a halo game.

The only thing I agree with is the fact its called Halo 4. Considering this is going to be another trilogy they should probably have named it something different because it will get stale once we reach Halo 5 & 6.

I have high hopes for this game.

If they were really worried about making a "GREAT GAME" they would make a new game, not called "Halo 4"

If the MS, 343 whatever, team is so talented, why don't they make a new game? instead of beating a dead horse, that in my opinion died rather victoriously.

It's like if someone other than George Lucas started making another Star Wars...

it just shouldn't be done.  IN MY OPINION.
