I hope that they give Shepard the choice of running around in a 'casual' outfit. It seems bizarre that they offer the choice to the companions but not the main character, then again they thought restricting armour to Shepard was a good idea as well.

Gotta know what class is being played @1:06, cuz I love the double punch with tech gloves (guessing Sentinal).

Thanks to vader da slayer for the images.  In regards to Ashley's new look, I think that Bioware have done a pretty good job with "aging" their characters between games.  Take Liara, for example, when she first appears in ME2, it's pretty evident in her facial features that she's been under tremendous stress since the first game and lost much of her "youthfulness".  These new images that vader posted show further aging to these battle worn characters and display Bioware's trademark "attention to detail" artwork in the game...:-)

Why does Ashley look so different. She looks like a completely different person.

its not its the soldier + warp bonus power thats been used in almost all the promo vids so far. (he has 4 weapons on him at once so it can only be a soldier). also I think the "double punch" is just a optical illusion created by the angle its being shown at.

edit on second look it does apear to be a "double punch" probably an upgrade in the talent tree (but does look a bit dumb imo).

so, in ME1 Kaiden was restricted to light armor.  Ash is wearing a leisure suit but holding a rifle.  Liara and Samara share the same outfitter for head jewelry.  Im ME3, Kaiden is a hulk in heavy armor, and Mr Vegas has feet that would rival those of the gears of War crew.  Its details like this that are being overlooked that concern me.

Thats a good point.  Most people are all "Rawwwr, they look different".  Even I was wondering why the characters look a bit different, but it is two years plus since we really saw most of them.  

It's not that she looks different to me, it's that she is unrecognisable as Ashley.

Kaidan and Liara both have changed but they are still instantly recognisable. With Ashley however they've changed her so much that to be honest, if I hadn't be told that was her, I would have thought it was a new character entirely.

Maybe the case with Ashley isn't so much that she's aged as much as the others, but she's obviously enjoying a radical lifestyle change.  Think of some of those pop/rock star females who look completely different on their next album/CD.  Ashley has risen from raising her sisters and the ashes of Eden Prime to a SPECTRE.  Cosmetics and vanity are luxuries that she never had the time or credits for before and she appears to be indulging a bit.  Once you hear the voice some more and see her in action, Gunnery Chief Williams will be more evident...:-)
