Famas

If it isn't letting you use a specific word then you will need to use another word for it. The word filter isn't perfect but it is what it is.

I had the same issue Flokkie, I imagine everyone has as its the games word filter preventing its use.
Just name it FAM then you will know what the name is refering too. :)

yeah i had the same problem too, problem is the word filter works too well some how thinks the word "FAMAS" is a swear word, you'd think they would sought this after all i only wanted to use a weapon they had titled. try using "FAMUS"

This problem has been occuring for about a year and a half now.

Other words have been fixed recently but not the word "FAMAS". It is not Activision's or Treyarch's fault on this one. I have done research and found that it is Microsoft's filter to blame.

In the past, letters like "j" were "prohibited due to profanity". Many words have been fixed within the past few months, but no one cared to fix the word "FAMAS". This word resembles the most used and most popular weapon in Call of Duty: Black Ops and is not profane in any way.

If there are any Microsoft employees reading what i have posted, please unfilter the word "FAMAS" as it is not profane whatsoever. I have kept a tally chart and have reported over 257 online gamers that find this a severe problem so i please ask anyone with the power to fix this problem. It's just one word. FAMAS. The online community would much appreciate if this were fixed.

I did some looking into it and it's suggested that it's blocked due to "AS" in FAMAS.

Hmm, not sure why it was originally blocked - however, it has since been freed up and it should be able to be used within 24 hours. Happy Gaming! :)
