Account Balance stuck in older region after migrating, how do I spend it?

I moved my xbox from Ireland to the UK (where I now live) about a week ago and migrated my account

My Microsoft balance (was points, now in Euro) has not moved to my UK account, it says I have no balance.

When I got to billing.microsoft.com it shows my Euro balance under Ireland and shows zero in the UK which means I cannot access or spend this balance.

You will have to wait till you migrate back to uk to spend it

currency doesnt transfer between regions probably because of exchange rates

Uk uses pounds not euros

How do I change my account location?You can move your Microsoft account from the region it’s associated with now to any other region up to one time every three months. However, after your Microsoft account transitions, the currency in your account will not move with you, so be sure to spend your currency before you change your account location! What ngocphi was trying to say is that due to various international laws and commerce concerns Microsoft has chosen to lock all currency to the specific region it was acquired in.  If you ever go to Ireland on an extended 3 month holiday or choose move back there you can migrate your account back to Ireland and the Euro's will still be there waiting for you.

so I have to wait 3 months to be able to migrate, then migrate to Ireland, spend my Euros and then wait 3 months n migrate back?

that sucks.
