Urgent: Recovering Account Error

So this has been an ongoing problem for over a week now.  At first I couldn't connect to xbox live despite a perfect connection.  Whatever, I try to recover my profile to fix that.  Now I can't recover it, and i haven't been able to since then.  I enter all my account info and stuff, it gets me past the first loading bar of "recovering account" then as soon as it begins the "downloading profile" part it pops up with an error message saying "You can no longer connect to Xbox Live"  then it gives me three options: to retry, to test connection, or to go to the dashboard.  Retrying pops up another error message saying something like "Account Recovery is Unavailable at this time," testing connection leads to a perfect connection with no errors whatsoever, and going to the dashboard obviously brings me to the dashboard.  Now I know for a fact this is NOT a problem with my connection at all.  I get no errors when testing it, and furthermore I have connected other accounts to Xbox Live and recovered other accounts on this Xbox and have had no errors, everything working smoothly and flawlessly (All this was done as testing within the past week that I have been unable to recover this gamertag).  So clearly it's something wrong with my account.  I have tried pretty much everything, deleting my profile (I did not delete profile and items, only profile), clearing the cache, retrying, I even spent a half hour on the phone with support where I basically got no further than I was before.  I have also sent multiple emails to support and have gotten no help.  Literally I've done everything.  So what is wrong with my account?  I've had this account for 4 years and have played tons of games, gotten extremely far on a lot of them, and earned a load of gamerscore, so if I find that my account has been completely messed up then Microsoft better have some way to make it up to me...

Try recovering your account onto a friends console. If it downloads on your friends console then transfer it to a Memory Unit and then manually plug it back into your System. This seems to be the next logical step for you . Let me know if it works!

What kind of connection are you using to get to LIVE, wired or wireless? Please try connecting wired before recovering. Also, you could try removing your current storage device and connecting a different one to your console and try recovering there.

I'm using a wired connection, but I know that's got nohing to do with it because I can recover other profiles just fine.

And I will try recovering on a different device, but the flash drive I have is only 1 gb and takes an enormously long time to update the xbox, which apparently needs to be updated when I take out the hard drive and replace it with just the flash drive.  I'm not sure if one gig is enough.

I might try having my friend recover my profile on his xbox though, to see if that works.

Well I just tried recovering it on my friends xbox...same thing.  It's definitely my account.  I've called Microsoft twice, neither time did I get much help.  What can I do now?
